There are four columns of 5 spikes down the sides and one spike on top. Every other spike horizontally has an alloy steel band around it adorned with fanged skulls that sit between the spikes. The skulls are a sort of divining rod for danger in this mace since they adorn the spikes and there is also a band with two below the nylon wrap and one at the tip of the handle. The bottom part of the handle below the nylon wrap actually separates from the mace completely revealing a push dagger style 1.75-inch mini knife that can easily be held in a fist between your fingers.
